On May 7, the commissioning ceremony of the third phase of the Yijun Yaoneng photovoltaic project was successfully held in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province.
The landing of this project marks a key step in the layout of the whole photovoltaic industry chain, and further consolidates its leading position in the field of photovoltaic glass in Hubei and even the whole country.
The project can be traced back to 2020, and Yijun Yaoneng will start the construction of the photovoltaic new material industrial park in three phases, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, to build a photovoltaic industry chain base. Up to now, the park has completed an investment of more than 7 billion yuan, and the third phase of the expansion involves 20 substrate production lines and 16 panel and backplane production lines, all of which adopt the world's leading ultra-thin photovoltaic calendering technology and intelligent production lines.
After the Yijun Yaoneng project is fully put into operation, the annual production capacity of glass products will be increased to 3.6 million tons, ranking first in Hubei and ranking in the forefront of the industry, with an annual output value of more than 20 billion yuan and 5,000 employees. In addition, the project will also promote the agglomeration of upstream silicon wafer and midstream module enterprises in Jingzhou to form a photovoltaic industry cluster.
According to public information, Hubei Yijun Yaoneng New Material Co., Ltd. is located in the state-level Jingzhou Economic Development Zone and is one of the private enterprises supported by Jingzhou City. Founded in 2003, the company initially took float glass manufacturing as its core business, and after more than 20 years of development, it has formed a whole industry chain cluster covering glass production, mine development and port transportation.
Yijun Yaoneng has a rich product line, covering float glass, photovoltaic glass and energy-saving new materials. Its photovoltaic glass production line is highly adapted to the latest 182 and 210 photovoltaic module needs, with an annual production capacity of 32GW of photovoltaic installed capacity, accounting for about 10% of the domestic photovoltaic glass market. In addition, the company is equipped with the world's leading low-radiation magnetron vacuum sputtering equipment, insulating glass production equipment, as well as super-large layout LOW-E coated glass and insulating energy-saving glass production lines.
In terms of technology research and development, Yijun Yaoneng has a scientific research team of more than 100 people, has obtained a number of patented technologies, and has been awarded the title of "Hubei Enterprise Technology Center". At the same time, the company has introduced the top large-scale industrial equipment at home and abroad to ensure that the product equipment and quality have always maintained the international advanced level.
In 2020, in response to the national "double carbon" strategy, the company invested 10 billion yuan to start the construction of the photovoltaic new material industrial park, and built a whole industry chain park covering photovoltaic substrates, solar cells, photovoltaic modules and panels in three phases, realizing the transformation and upgrading from traditional building materials to high-tech industries.
In terms of photovoltaic investment, the first and second phases of Yijun Yaoneng Industrial Park were put into operation in April and December 2022 respectively, and a photovoltaic glass production line and supporting waste heat power generation system were completed. In the third phase of the project, 20 substrate production lines and 16 panel and backsheet production lines have been added, adopting the world's leading ultra-thin photovoltaic calendering technology and intelligent production lines. At the same time, the company obtained the patent (CN222160025U) for the adjustable roller photovoltaic glass coating machine in December 2024, which significantly improves the coating efficiency and reduces slurry waste by 15%, further strengthening its technological competitiveness.
In addition, the industrial park has built a waste heat power generation system, with an annual power supply capacity of 127 million kWh, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 67,000 tons, and achieving both energy consumption reduction and environmental protection benefits. At the same time, the park adopts the design of Industry 4.0 standards, optimizes the production process and reduces maintenance costs through an intelligent monitoring system.
