Chinese photovoltaic company JinkoSolar announced that it will provide approximately 28000 high-efficiency 66 BDV modules for Northpower's Te Puna Mauri ō Omaru solar power plant in New Zealand. The project has an installed capacity of 19.3MWdc and is New Zealand's first community owned solar facility on a grid scale. It is expected to be completed and connected to the grid by 2025.
JinkoSolar adopts TOPCon technology to optimize the design of components for New Zealand's cool and cloudy climate. Its high energy output, low temperature coefficient, and high double-sided rate characteristics under low light conditions can fully utilize natural reflected light to ensure long-term stable power generation. Wang Jianjun, the General Manager of Oceania, stated that the reliability of BDV components under harsh weather conditions is crucial for the project. This cooperation has promoted the clean energy transformation in the Pacific region and demonstrated JinkoSolar's influence in the global market.
