On June 19, 2025, China Energy Engineering Corporation China Power Engineering International Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the 75.2MW photovoltaic EPC general contracting and 5-year operation and maintenance project in a province in the Philippines. This is the company's first spot exchange bidding project in the ASEAN region, marking significant progress in its "small but beautiful" strategy and adding another benchmark case for overseas expansion of its new energy business.
The project is jointly developed by international energy company Gurin Energy and Total, using an EPC general contracting model, covering the full chain construction of 75.2MW photovoltaic area, 69kV booster station, 5.1km 69kV transmission line and 69kV switch station, with a construction period of only 9 months. After the completion of the project, the generated electricity will be connected to the main grid of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), significantly increasing the proportion of renewable energy in the local area and promoting the diversification and low-carbon development of the power structure.
This winning bid is a key achievement for China Electric Engineering International Corporation to accelerate its green transformation and deepen its cultivation in the international market. The successful practice of the spot exchange bidding model not only demonstrates its core technological competitiveness in the field of new energy, but also lays a solid foundation for the development of future ASEAN regional projects. After the project is put into operation, it will provide stable clean energy for the Philippines and promote sustainable socio-economic development.
