According to Jakarta on June 24, 2025, Pertamina NRE, a subsidiary of Indonesia's National Petroleum Corporation, and China's Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched the construction of a solar panel manufacturing plant in Chikarang, West Java Province on June 23. The factory is located in the Del Tamas Industrial Zone, with a designed annual production capacity of 1.4GW. It adopts Longi Green Energy's latest HPBC 2.0 technology and is expected to boost Indonesia's total installed photovoltaic capacity from 1.6GW to 3GW after commissioning.

Accelerating the implementation of the energy transformation strategy

This cooperation is an important measure taken by the Indonesian government to promote the optimization of energy structure. According to statistics from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia plans to increase the proportion of new and renewable energy to 34.3% by 2034, and has set a development goal of making solar energy the core pillar of clean energy by 2060.

Capacity Upgrade and Regional Market Expansion

According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, the current annual production capacity of local solar panels is 1.6GW, and the completion of the new factory will nearly double the total production capacity. John Anis, CEO of Pertamina NRE, stated that localized production will effectively optimize the supply chain, reduce manufacturing costs, and create new green employment opportunities. In addition to meeting the local demand in Indonesia, the project products will also radiate to the rapidly growing clean energy market in Southeast Asia.

Government enterprise linkage promotes technology industrialization

The implementation of this project reflects the demonstration effect of the government and enterprises collaborating to promote energy transformation. The Del Tamas Industrial Zone has become a key node in Indonesia's new energy industry layout due to its location advantage. (This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
