During the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, the People's Government of Yumen City, Gansu Province, and China General Nuclear Power (Gansu) New Energy Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement for the "China General Nuclear Power Gansu Yumen 700MW Photovoltaic Thermal Wind Power Hydrogen Production Demonstration Project". As a key project of the third batch of large-scale wind and solar power bases in Shagehuang, the project has a total investment scale of over 10 billion yuan.
The planned construction capacity of the project is 700MW, including 100MW solar thermal power generation, 200MW photovoltaic power generation, and 400MW wind power generation. At present, the registration and planning of the project company have been completed, and the feasibility study and preliminary design work will be undertaken by Northwest Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Electric Power Construction Group.
The project is equipped with a green hydrogen production system with a hydrogen production capacity of 4000 standard cubic meters per hour, including 8000 cubic meters of hydrogen storage facilities and supporting refueling and transportation systems. It is expected to produce an average of 2857.14 tons of green hydrogen per year. After completion, it will form a comprehensive energy system with wind, solar, thermal, hydrogen storage and multi energy complementarity, providing a demonstration for the innovative development of the new energy industry in Gansu Province.
This signing is an important milestone in the development of the new energy industry in Gansu Province, which will effectively promote the development of the new energy equipment manufacturing and hydrogen energy application industry chain in Yumen City. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1 million tons per year, which is of great strategic significance for promoting the transformation of energy structure in Northwest China and achieving the dual carbon goals.
