Major transportation infrastructure projects in Zhejiang Province have added new members. With a total investment of about 9.966 billion yuan, the China-Europe Express (Yixinou) Jinhua Port Lanxi Port Area Railway, Public and Water Multimodal Transport Hub Project officially started the survey and design work, marking that this key project serving the national Belt and Road Initiative has entered the substantive promotion stage.

The project has a total planned land area of about 4,620 acres and a total construction area of nearly 700,000 square meters, which will be implemented in stages on a rolling basis. Among them, the first SJ-01 bid section has an investment of about 2.28 billion yuan, mainly including two core functional areas: first, the continental operation area and supporting warehouse management center, which will build 24 new 500-ton inland river berths (hydraulic structure is built according to the 2,000-ton standard) and 470,000 square meters of warehousing and logistics facilities; The second is the Shanghua water anchorage service area, which plans to build 45 berths of 2,000-ton cargo ships to provide berthing, emergency and other service guarantees for passing ships.

As an important node of the "Yixin Europe" international logistics channel, the project will realize the seamless connection of railway, highway and waterway transportation after completion, and greatly improve the comprehensive logistics service capacity of central Zhejiang. It is estimated that after the project is put into operation, it is expected to reduce regional logistics costs by more than 30%, and the annual cargo throughput will exceed 10 million tons, which will strongly support the efficient operation of China-Europe trains and promote the export-oriented economic development of Zhejiang.

The project leader said that the hub will use an intelligent management system to create a digital logistics platform, optimize the transportation structure through multimodal transportation, and provide more convenient and economical international logistics solutions for enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region.
