Recently, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement for the 2025 Lan-Mei cooperation special fund project was held in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. Ma Jia, China's ambassador to Myanmar, and Ge Gejue, Myanmar's Deputy Foreign Minister, jointly signed the agreement.

Ma Jia mentioned in his speech at the signing ceremony that the 14 projects signed this time will continue to provide support for the development of agriculture, environmental protection, science and technology, culture, education and disaster prevention in Myanmar. China hopes to further strengthen cooperation with Myanmar, make proper use of the fund, promote the building of a community of destiny between China and Myanmar, and bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples.

In his speech, Foreign Minister Tansui, a member of Myanmar's National Security and Peace Council, also said that the Myanmar government and people sincerely thank China for setting up this fund and sharing development opportunities with Myanmar.

It is understood that since 2018, there have been 8 batches of 132 projects supported by the Fund in Myanmar, which is the country with the largest number of approved projects among Mekong countries.
