On August 7, 2025, Huaneng Hong Kong Company (Development Company), a subsidiary of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., and China National Complete Equipment Import and Export Group Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Beijing. The two sides reached an important cooperation agreement on jointly developing a 200MW photovoltaic project in the European region. According to the agreement, the two companies will fully leverage their respective professional advantages in the field of new energy, focusing on in-depth cooperation in key areas such as project development, engineering construction, and post operation management. As one of the earliest state-owned power enterprises in China to implement an internationalization strategy, China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. has accumulated rich experience in the development of international energy projects. In this cooperation, the two sides will be committed to making the European photovoltaic project a demonstration project under the the Belt and Road Initiative.
