The first off-grid hydrogen production system in China, the 5MW off-grid photovoltaic power generation hydrogen production project of Shenneng Otokeqi, officially started construction. The project adopts innovative technology with completely independent intellectual property rights, marking a key step in our country's green hydrogen production from laboratory to engineering application.

The project adopts a breakthrough "intrinsically off-grid, no energy storage" technical route, abandoning traditional energy storage devices and directly driving hydrogen production and purification equipment through 5MW photovoltaic arrays. Its core technology lies in the flexible hydrogen production and purification process, which realizes intelligent tracking of the maximum photovoltaic power generation power, "load with the source" operation and intelligent optimization scheduling, which not only simplifies the system structure, reduces investment costs, but also significantly reduces dependence on the power grid.

It is reported that this technology has previously completed 100-kilowatt laboratory verification in the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Sichuan Institute.
