Recently, China Construction Industry Corporation Limited announced that its subsidiary Far East Curtain Wall (Singapore) Co., Ltd. has successfully won the bid for the "Hotel Indigo Changi Airport" (HICA) curtain wall project at Changi Airport in Singapore. This project is the first BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) curtain wall project undertaken by China Construction Industry overseas, marking an important technological output and market breakthrough for the company in the international green building field.

The HICA project was developed by renowned Singaporean owner OUE LIMITED, with a building height of approximately 40 meters and a total BIPV curtain wall area of 5200 square meters. It covers more than ten advanced curtain wall structures, including facade BIPV glass units, roof transparent and opaque BIPV systems, and eaves horizontal BIPV. After the completion of the project, the building's own power generation will directly supply the hotel's operation, significantly reducing energy consumption costs. The surplus electricity can also be fed back to Singapore's national grid, helping the project obtain Singapore's Green Mark Zero Energy zero energy certification. The hotel is also expected to become Singapore's first zero energy hotel and the world's first airport hotel to achieve zero energy consumption.

The successful bidding of this project not only demonstrates the leading strength of China Construction Industry in the field of BIPV technology, but also sets a benchmark for Chinese enterprises to undertake international high-end green building projects, further promoting the international development and cooperation of green building technology.
