During his attendance at the SCO summit and commemorative events in Beijing, Kazakh President Tokayev led a delegation in intensive meetings with heads of leading Chinese energy companies, holding high-level consultations on energy, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and other fields, promoting the implementation of a number of large-scale cooperation projects, demonstrating the deepening and acceleration of energy cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.During the visit, Tokayev held meetings with the principal heads of companies such as China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), and Sany Group, focusing on key areas such as nuclear power plant construction, oil and gas processing, wind power development, and energy and power planning. He stated that the Kazakh side attaches great importance to cooperation with China in the nuclear industry and is confident in promoting joint projects such as the construction of the second nuclear power plant.Meanwhile, Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev was simultaneously conducting a series of strategic dialogues in Beijing, engaging in in-depth discussions with companies such as CNPC, China Huadian, State Power Investment Corporation, China Energy Engineering Corporation, CMEC, and Sany Heavy Industry, covering areas such as renewable energy, natural gas chemicals, refinery upgrading, and the introduction of advanced technologies.

This high-level interaction facilitated several substantial achievements, including the smooth progress of the 300 MW photovoltaic project in Turkistan Region, the 160 MW steam turbine project in Aktau, and the urea project in Aktobe Region.Akenov pointed out that "these talks are building a new pattern of energy cooperation based on mutual trust and a strategic vision."
It is worth mentioning that at the 8th meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee on September 2, enterprises from both sides signed more than 70 commercial agreements with a total value of 15 billion US dollars, covering energy, infrastructure, high technology and agriculture, fully demonstrating the strong momentum of the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
