Recently, the construction of the Saierlong Langmusi section of the G0611 Zhangye Wenchuan National Expressway (referred to as the "Zhangwen Expressway") and the Gaxiu Maqu section of the S45 Lujiu Expressway officially broke ground. As key components of the Ganchuan New Corridor, these two highway projects are also the first major transportation projects to be implemented in ethnic areas of Gansu Province after the promotion conference on improving highway transportation infrastructure. They will inject new impetus into the upgrading of regional transportation networks.

The two major projects under construction this time are located at the junction of Gansu, Qinghai, and Sichuan provinces, with a construction environment facing high-altitude geographical conditions ranging from 3300 to 3500 meters. The total investment is 11.39 billion yuan, led by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, and jointly invested, constructed, and operated by China Construction Infrastructure Co., Ltd., China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., and other units to ensure the quality and efficiency of engineering construction.

From the specific planning of the project, the total length of the Zhangwen Expressway Saierlong to Langmusi section is 57.123 kilometers, and it is planned to adopt the technical standard of a two-way four lane expressway. This project has been included in the "14th Five Year Plan" comprehensive transportation system development plan of Gansu Province and is a key transportation infrastructure project promoted in the province; The total length of the S45 Lujiu Expressway from Gaxiu to Maqu is 41.849 kilometers, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The entire line also adopts the technical standards of a two-way four lane expressway. It is not only one of the north-south longitudinal lines in the "Gansu Provincial Highway Network Plan" with "6 rings, 7 vertical lines, 7 horizontal lines, and 46 connections", but also an important component of the "Gansu Qinghai Expressway Ring Line" in Gansu Province, which is of great significance for improving the regional road network structure.

According to the relevant person in charge, after the completion of these two highway projects, it will further strengthen the inter provincial transportation links between Gansu, Qinghai, and Sichuan provinces, effectively driving the development of characteristic resources such as tourism along the route. At the same time, it plays an irreplaceable role in promoting rapid regional economic development and supporting high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, building a more convenient transportation bridge for people's travel and industrial development along the route.
