Beijing Time, September 8th, the 6th "Mustafa Prize " was officially announced in Tehran, the capital of Iran. M.K., Utmolight Chief Scientist, Member of the European Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, was awarded the prize.Professor Nazeeruddin has been awarded the Mustafa Prize in Basic and Engineering Sciences for his pioneering contributions to the field of perovskite solar cells.

The Mustafa Prize, established by Iran in 2012 and administered by the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation, is a prestigious international award specifically for scientists from the Islamic world. It is known as the "Islamic Nobel Prize" and aims to recognize top scientific achievements that play a significant role in human life or expand the boundaries of human understanding of the world.As a global pioneer in perovskite solar cells, Professor Nazeeruddin has achieved outstanding accomplishments in both fundamental perovskite science research and engineering technology applications. He has completed numerous projects funded by the EU, the Swiss government, and industrial partners, accumulating over €30 million in government research support, holding 103 patents, publishing 890 high-level academic papers, with over 195,000 total citations, and an H-index of 197.Due to his significant academic influence, he has been named a Clarivate Analytics "Highly Cited Researcher" for ten consecutive years and recognized by Times Higher Education as one of the world's top five most influential chemists and one of the world's top ten scientists in the field of perovskites, repeatedly breaking world records for the efficiency of small-sized perovskite devices.

In his acceptance speech, Professor M.K. Nazeeruddin expressed his gratitude to his research team, Utmolight, his alma mater, and his family.He especially called on young researchers to maintain scientific curiosity, firm belief, and diligent exploration, and to jointly contribute wisdom to the sustainable development of mankind.
