Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" target, the layout of the new energy industry in Qinghai Province is accelerating. Recently, the Industrial Commerce and Information Technology Bureau of Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province officially announced two major new energy investment projects: one is a 1 million kilowatt wind power new energy generation project, and the other is a 500000 kilowatt source grid load storage integration project. At present, both projects have reached preliminary strategic cooperation agreements, marking a substantial step forward for Haibei Prefecture in building a national clean energy industry highland.

Among them, the planned total installed capacity of the 1 million kilowatt wind power project is 1 million kilowatts, with an estimated total investment of about 6 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, it will significantly increase the proportion of non water renewable energy consumption in Qinghai Province, effectively reduce regional carbon emission pressure, and provide important support for green energy supply in Qinghai and the northwest region.

Another 500000 kilowatt integrated project of power grid load storage plans to install 80 wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.25MW, and build a new 330kV collection station and corresponding transmission lines, with a total investment of about 3.3 billion yuan. This project highlights the collaborative concept of "source grid load storage", enhances the peak shaving capability of the power grid through integrated system design, optimizes the balance of power supply and demand, and improves the level of new energy consumption. It is an important demonstration of combining efficient development and utilization of wind power with safe and stable operation of the power grid.
