Recently, the bidding candidates for the construction of the new Shenzhen Shenzhen Shantou Cooperation Zone Railway Luohu North Station and related projects were announced, marking a new stage in the construction of the Luohu North Station on the Shenzhen Shantou high-speed railway. The station will officially start construction at the end of September and is planned to be completed by the end of November 2027.

The Shenzhen Shantou High speed Railway is of great significance. Its route starts from Shenzhen Shantou Station on the Guangzhou Shantou Railway, passes through the Shenzhen Shantou Cooperation Zone and Huizhou City, and finally reaches the Shenzhen hub Xili Station, with a total length of 125.52 kilometers and a designed speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour. The project will commence in December 2022 and is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2027. The preliminary design approval estimate is 48.79 billion yuan, fully invested by Shenzhen Municipality. Shenzhen Metro Group is responsible for project implementation and asset management, while China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. is responsible for construction.
There are six stations along the route, namely Xili, Luohu North, Shenzhen Pingshan, Huizhou South, Huidong, and Shenshan. Among them, the three stations of Xili, Luohu North, and Pingshan will intersect with multiple intercity and subway lines, forming a comprehensive transportation hub. Luohu North Station, as one of the key stations of the Shenzhen Shantou High speed Railway, is located in the Qingshuihe area of Luohu District. It is planned to integrate the Shenzhen Shantou High speed Railway, Metro Lines 3, 14, 17, 25, and intercity railways, and is the core hub of the eastern part of the Greater Bay Area radiating to the eastern Guangdong region.
From the perspective of construction planning, the newly-built Luohu North Station is located in the central urban area of Luohu District, Shenzhen. The line extends from east to west along Qingshuihe Second Road, with a center mileage of DK113+384.449. It is an underground four story, two platform, four line side station with a total length of about 600m, a width of 23.6-43m, a soil cover thickness of about 1.5-28m, and a bottom plate burial depth of 37.5-49.0m. The main structure of the station is divided into three underground areas, with the main station building in the middle, about 470m long; the west side is the large mileage throat area, about 130m long; the east side is adjacent to the existing Luohu North Subway Station of Line 14/17, and the high-speed railway station passes through the subway station on the negative fourth floor. The relevant civil engineering parts have been designed and reserved by the subway in advance Incorporate into this project. The attached section includes entrances and exits 1-3 and two car ramps.

The scope of this bidding is clear, covering the station building and related projects of a specific mileage section of Luohu North Station, as well as the production and living buildings (including four electricity rooms) and related projects of another mileage section (excluding some buildings at Pingshan Station).
