On September 26th, the groundbreaking event for the CORNEX Yichang 80GWh new generation lithium battery project was held in Yiling District, Yichang City. The project under construction this time is the second phase of CORNEX Yichang Lithium Battery Industrial Park, with a planned annual production capacity of 80GWh. It aims to develop and produce new energy products such as energy storage batteries, power batteries, and Pack modules. The official launch of the project will attract a large number of high-quality talents in the field of new energy to gather in Yichang. After reaching production capacity, it is expected to create more than 6000 new job opportunities, with an annual output value of 22 billion yuan, which will effectively promote the optimization of industrial structure and the improvement of economic quality and efficiency in Yichang City and even Hubei Province.

In his speech, Xiao Pengfei stated that three years ago, Chairman Dai Deming had a heart full of love for his hometown and devoted himself to nurturing it. With a childlike spirit and extraordinary courage, he invested in the construction of the CORNEX lithium battery industry park, which fully released the 65GWh production capacity of the first phase of the project and provided 5000 job opportunities to benefit people's livelihoods; Now, with the strong winds of the east, the journey begins again. Yiling District will continue to "care about the overall situation and bravely shoulder the mission", fully promote the "spirit of prefabricated houses", and with the pioneering spirit of "opening the way on the mountain and building bridges on the water", set sail again, closely focusing on the two major milestones of the year-end cap and the "9.26" production start next year, and sprint with a decisive attitude to escort project construction.

The CORNEX Yichang Lithium Battery Industrial Park project has a total planned land area of nearly 5000 acres and is a high-tech industrial base that integrates research and development, production, and manufacturing of energy storage batteries, power batteries, and energy management systems. On August 28, 2023, the first phase of the CORNEX project in Yichang was officially put into operation, achieving an industry feat of starting, completing, and putting into operation within a year, and running the "Chu Energy Miracle" at Yichang speed.
