According to public information, the Yulong Reservoir project in Bijie City, Guizhou Province is scheduled to start bidding on October 24, 2025. The bidding scope covers preliminary survey and design of the project as well as the "Three Connections and One Leveling" project, marking the official entry of the key water conservancy project included in the national relevant planning into the substantive promotion stage.

Yulong Reservoir is located in Weining County, Bijie City. It is a comprehensive water conservancy project that mainly provides urban and rural living and industrial water supply, while also considering power generation. The total storage capacity of the project is 112 million cubic meters, with a designed annual water supply of approximately 57 million cubic meters, including 47 million cubic meters for urban water supply and 10 million cubic meters for industrial water supply. The installed capacity of the power station behind the dam is 12 megawatts. The estimated investment for the project is 385.716 million yuan, and upon completion, it will become a key livelihood project to ensure regional water security and promote economic and social development.

The three connections and one leveling project in this bidding is an important foundation for the smooth implementation of the project, including four core contents. The access road to the first hub can provide solid transportation support for the main construction of the project; The production and installation of diversion tunnel blocking gates and hoisting machines can ensure the safety of diversion during the construction period and reservoir water storage in the later stage; The construction period management camp and 35kV construction substation in the dam area can meet the management, power and other supporting needs during the construction period; Water conservation and environmental protection projects are simultaneously promoting soil and water conservation and ecological environment protection, practicing the concept of green development. In addition, the preliminary survey and design bidding of the project will provide scientific technical support for the subsequent construction of the project.

The construction of Yulong Reservoir has multiple strategic values. As an important water source project in Weining County, it can directly guarantee the demand for urban and rural domestic and industrial water in the central urban area and surrounding areas, effectively alleviating the contradiction between water supply and demand. At the same time, its power generation function can supplement the regional clean energy supply and help achieve the dual carbon goals. The project is located in an area inhabited by ethnic minorities. After completion, it will provide solid water conservancy support for consolidating the achievements of regional poverty alleviation and promoting rural revitalization.
