Recently, at the "Beijing Saudi Arabia Advanced Manufacturing Industry Negotiation Conference" held in Beijing, China Hongjun New Energy Co., Ltd. and its Saudi partners officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build a high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic component production base with an annual output of 6GW in Saudi Arabia. The signing of the project was witnessed by important guests such as Bandar Al Huraif, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, and Abdulrahman Halby, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China, marking a significant breakthrough in cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the field of clean energy.

This production base will fully utilize the mature technology and advanced production processes accumulated by Hongjun New Energy in the field of efficient heterojunctions, focusing on the research and development and production of high-performance photovoltaic modules that are most suitable for the climate conditions in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Hongjun heterojunction components have significant characteristics such as low high-temperature attenuation and high double-sided power generation rate, which can perfectly adapt to the high temperature and strong light environment in Saudi Arabia and the Central and Northeast Africa region, and accurately meet the growing demand for clean energy development in the local area.

Hongjun New Energy Co., Ltd. is jointly invested and established by Guangdong Fuhong Juneng, Chunhua Capital, and Gree Group. Since its establishment, the company has always focused on the research and manufacturing of new high-efficiency heterojunction solar cells and modules with low energy consumption and low carbon emissions. By integrating various advantageous resources, the company is committed to promoting technological innovation in the photovoltaic industry and injecting strong momentum into the global energy transition.

It is reported that the project is scheduled to be officially launched in 2025 and is expected to be constructed in two phases. After the completion of the project, it will not only meet the local demand for efficient photovoltaic modules in Saudi Arabia, but also radiate to the entire Middle East region, providing strong support for the renewable energy goals in Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision. This cooperation not only demonstrates the strength of Chinese photovoltaic enterprises in technological innovation and high-end manufacturing, but also further deepens the strategic cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the field of new energy.
