With the increasingly urgent demand for renewable energy grid integration and grid stability in various countries, energy storage systems have become a key link in the global energy structure transformation. In September 2024, Chinese energy storage companies continued to increase their overseas orders, with a contracted scale exceeding 30GWh, covering multiple key markets such as Europe, India, the United States, Africa, and Latin America, showing an active trend of multi-point blooming and frequent large orders.
According to incomplete statistics, Chinese energy storage companies signed more than 29 overseas orders in September, with a total scale exceeding 30GWh, almost reaching the frequency of "one contract per day". Among them, the European market performed particularly well, with nearly 12GWh of orders signed by Chinese enterprises, becoming the main contributing region for overseas orders in the month. India, the United States, and other places have also become important "harvest areas" for Chinese energy storage companies.

In the European market, the acceleration of power grid upgrades has driven a surge in demand for large-scale energy storage. Haichen Energy Storage has signed a 2GWh supply agreement with European EPC company Solarpro to adapt to the Eastern European large-scale storage project; In addition, Haichen has also secured 3GWh orders from BOS Power in Northern Europe, further improving its "dual base" layout in Europe. Faced with the differences in grid standards, subsidy policies, and other aspects among European countries, companies such as Sunac Power and Far Eastern Energy Storage actively seize the market through customized products and flexible solutions.
The Indian market has become a strategic location for Chinese companies to go global, thanks to policy dividends such as mandatory photovoltaic storage and subsidies. Zhongqi New Energy (Chuzhou Lishen) and Xingxing Charging respectively won orders for 2GWh battery energy storage systems and nearly 1GWh energy storage systems in September, demonstrating the rapid rise of the Indian energy storage market.
In the US market, localized supply chain construction has become a trend driven by the IRA Act. Haichen Energy Storage's Texas factory achieved its first batch of shipments in August and signed a 290MWh project with MGN in New York in September to supply its self-developed ∞ Block 5MWh system. Ruipu Lanjun and other enterprises are also actively promoting the construction of factories in Europe and America, enhancing their competitiveness in the North American market through the "local production+fast delivery" model.

It is worth noting that in September, there were 11 large orders of over 1GWh for overseas energy storage, covering multiple markets such as Europe, America, Africa, and Latin America. Among them, BYD Energy Storage signed a 3.5GWh energy storage system order with Grenergy in Spain, Far Eastern Energy Storage signed a 5GWh project order with three customers in Poland, and Tianhe Energy Storage signed a total of 2.48GWh product sales contract with customers in China, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. These large orders not only reflect the extensive layout of Chinese enterprises in the global energy storage market, but also their ability to respond to diverse market demands. The overseas order performance of Chinese energy storage companies in September demonstrates the deep participation and systematic competitiveness of China's energy storage industry chain in the global energy transformation. From power grid upgrades in Europe, to policy driven initiatives in India, to localized supply in the United States, Chinese companies are constantly expanding their global market boundaries through technological adaptation, capacity layout, and innovative cooperation models. With the continuous release of energy storage demand in various countries, Chinese companies with product, cost, and delivery advantages are expected to play a more critical role in the next stage of global green energy construction.
