Recently, there has been important news in the domestic infrastructure field that China Railway Third Bureau, with its rich engineering experience, excellent technical strength, and scientific construction plan, stood out in the fierce bidding and successfully won a large highway project with a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan. The implementation of this project is not only highly recognized by the market for the comprehensive capabilities of China Railway Third Bureau, but also injects strong impetus into 

the improvement of regional transportation networks and economic development.

From the perspective of project planning, the bid winning highway project is expected to run through the suburbs of several cities and towns, with a total length of about 65 kilometers. The design standard is a two-way four lane first-class highway, giving consideration to trunk line transportation and urban and rural commuting functions. The construction content of the project includes roadbed laying, bridge erection, tunnel excavation, and installation of supporting transportation facilities. Among them, the cross river super large bridge and mountainous tunnel section will become the core construction difficulties. China Railway Third Bureau has formed a special technical team and plans to adopt modular construction and intelligent monitoring system to ensure that the project quality and progress meet both standards.

In terms of social benefits, the completion of the project will significantly shorten the travel time of the three counties and districts along the route. The original 1.5-hour drive can be compressed to less than 40 minutes. At the same time, it will connect the surrounding agricultural production areas and industrial parks, helping to reduce logistics costs by about 12% and building a "fast lane" for rural revitalization and industrial coordinated development. In addition, it is expected to provide more than 2000 job opportunities during the construction period, giving priority to absorbing local labor to participate in the construction and driving the development of supporting industries such as catering and accommodation in the surrounding area.

The relevant person in charge of China Railway Third Bureau stated that they will take this bid as an opportunity to strictly follow the construction concept of "safety first, quality oriented", refine the construction process, strengthen on-site management, and strive to build the project into a regional infrastructure boutique project, contributing the strength of central enterprises to promote the construction of a national transportation power. At present, the preliminary preparation work for the project has been fully launched, and it is expected to officially start construction in the third quarter of 2024, with the full line opening in 2027.

To ensure the efficient progress of the project, China Railway Third Bureau has established a dual management structure of "headquarters coordination+on-site special team", setting up three construction branches and one material processing plant along the project line to achieve standardized production and unified distribution of key building materials such as steel bars and concrete. It is expected to reduce on-site construction pollution by more than 30%. For the construction of the cross river super large bridge, the team will adopt the "floating crane+hanging basket construction" process, combined with unmanned aerial vehicle inspection and BIM technology modeling, to monitor the stress situation of the bridge structure in real time, ensuring that the accuracy of the main span closure is controlled at the millimeter level; The mountainous tunnel section plans to use the "New Austrian Method" for construction, combined with the geological radar advanced detection system, to avoid geological risks such as faults and water surges in advance and ensure construction safety.

In terms of green construction, the project also incorporates multiple ecological protection measures. The construction access road will prioritize the use of existing rural roads for renovation and expansion, avoiding the occupation of arable land; The tunnel waste will be crushed and screened before being reused as roadbed filling or brick making materials, with an expected resource utilization rate of over 85%; The temporary construction areas along the line will be equipped with dust nets and sprinkler systems simultaneously, and the "spray seeding greening" technology will be adopted in the slope protection project to achieve synchronous construction and ecological restoration.

It is worth noting that the project will also simultaneously promote the construction of smart transportation supporting facilities. Eight intelligent monitoring points will be set up along the entire line to monitor real-time traffic flow, road conditions, and meteorological information, and timely release traffic alerts through traffic guidance screens; Some sections of the road will reserve charging station installation interfaces to provide convenience for the future passage of new energy vehicles. At the same time, during the project construction period, cooperation will also be established with local vocational colleges to provide skill training for steel workers, scaffolders, and other workers, helping local labor to master professional skills and achieve "one person employment, family income increase".
