Chinese wind power companies are accelerating their global layout. Recently, Mingyang Intelligent UK announced plans to invest £ 1.5 billion (approximately $2 billion) to build the UK's largest and first wind power manufacturing base covering the entire industry chain in Scotland. The base will be constructed in three phases, with an expected creation of 1500 job opportunities, and is expected to become an important milestone in the development of the offshore wind power industry in the UK.
According to the plan, the initial investment of the project will mainly be used for the construction of wind turbine blade and nacelle manufacturing factories. The second phase will expand its scale and focus on serving the rapidly developing floating offshore wind power market; The third stage will focus on the localization production of key components such as control systems and electronic devices.

In terms of project site selection, currently located near Inverness, the port of Adsel is the preferred location. Mingyang Intelligent stated that this project will be an important component of its overall strategic layout in Europe and will seek more investment opportunities in other European countries in the future.
As a global leader in wind energy technology, we are committed to accelerating the global energy transition through innovative and user centered comprehensive energy solutions. We are excited about the prospects of investing in the UK and look forward to completing our investment decision as soon as possible, "said Zhang Chuanwei, Chairman of Mingyang Group
Mingyang UK CEO Wang Haoyu emphasized, "We firmly believe that by promoting localized manufacturing, job creation, skills training, and supply chain construction in the UK, we can help the UK become a global offshore wind power technology center. We fully support the government's mission to build a clean energy strong country and will make important contributions to it." This major investment plan by Mingyang Intelligent not only demonstrates the technological strength and global ambition of Chinese clean energy equipment manufacturing enterprises, but also injects strong impetus into the UK's energy transformation goals. If the project is successfully approved, it will set a precedent for Chinese wind power companies to achieve a full industry chain layout in Europe, provide a new industrial cooperation paradigm for global energy transformation, and further consolidate the partnership between China and the UK in the field of green energy.
