On the Loess Plateau in Qingyang, Gansu Province, the country's first green power aggregation direct supply data center project is advancing at full speed. Thousands of builders and nearly a hundred machines are working intensively on site, striving to achieve grid connected power generation by the end of November 2025. This national pilot project is moving from blueprint to reality.

At present, the first batch of wind turbine foundation pouring has been completed, and the main structure of the booster station is rapidly advancing. According to Lei Qiang, the project leader of Gansu Power Investment Group, the core of the project is to "use local materials and electricity locally". By building an integrated system of "source network load storage", a "dedicated green power plant" will be built next to the data center cluster.

As a key supporting project of the national integrated computing power network hub node (Gansu), the total planned installed capacity of the project is 2 million kilowatts. The first phase of the project includes 750000 kilowatts of wind power and 250000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power, with a dynamic investment of approximately 4.484 billion yuan. After completion, the total annual power generation of wind and solar power will reach nearly 2 billion kilowatt hours, which will be directly supplied to the data center of Qingyang's "East Data West Calculation" industrial park.

Wang Jiaxue, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Gansu Diantou Jiuhui Company, stated that after the completion of the project, about 55% of the park's electricity consumption can be directly supplied by green electricity, and the door-to-door electricity price will not exceed 0.4 yuan/kWh, significantly reducing the energy consumption cost of data enterprises. This innovative model not only revitalizes Qingyang's scenic resources, but also explores a replicable and promotable new path for large-scale data center clusters to achieve green and low-carbon operations, injecting sustained momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
