Recently, there has been heavy news in the global new energy field - Far East Energy has successfully won an offshore wind turbine order worth over 1.2GW from a European country. This is its fifth overseas large-scale order since 2025, and the cumulative overseas order volume has exceeded 3GW, marking a further increase in the competitiveness of Chinese wind power companies in the global high-end new energy market and adding key weight to Far East Energy's global layout.

The winning project is located in the North Sea area of Europe and is one of the core projects of the "Zero Carbon Energy Corridor" that is being promoted locally. It plans to install more than 200 EN-175-7.2MW offshore intelligent wind turbines developed by Far East Energy. This model is specially designed for the complex marine environment in Europe. It not only has strong environmental adaptability to withstand typhoons of level 16 and low temperatures of -25 ℃, but also is equipped with the "Smart Wind Farm Brain" - Wind OS intelligent control system independently developed by Farview. By analyzing real-time data such as wind speed, wind direction, and waves, the operating parameters of the wind turbine can be dynamically adjusted, increasing the annual power generation of a single machine by 8% -12% and reducing the cost of electricity by more than 5%. It perfectly meets the core needs of European customers for "high electricity generation and low operation and maintenance costs". It is worth mentioning that this model has also passed multiple rigorous certifications such as EU CE and T Ü V in Germany, achieving international top standards in noise control and ecological compatibility, becoming the "core competitiveness" in project bidding.

From order negotiation to final signing, Far East Energy's "technology+localization" dual wheel drive strategy has become crucial. In order to meet the requirements of the European market for supply chain localization, Far East Energy has reached cooperation with 12 component companies in Germany, Denmark and other places to achieve localized production of core components such as wind turbine hubs and blades. Not only has the delivery cycle been shortened to less than 6 months, but it has also created over 300 job opportunities for the local area, which has been highly recognized by the government of the country where the project is located. In addition, Far East Energy will also provide full lifecycle operation and maintenance services for the project. It plans to establish two intelligent operation and maintenance centers locally, equipped with more than 50 professional operation and maintenance personnel and 8 offshore operation and maintenance ships. Through remote monitoring and regular inspections, the utilization rate of wind turbines will be stable at over 98%.

The landing of this overseas large order is not accidental. In recent years, Far East Energy has continuously increased its research and development investment, allocating 8% of its annual revenue to technological innovation. It has applied for over 1500 overseas patents, particularly in the field of large-scale and intelligent offshore wind turbines, forming a technological barrier. Its EN-190-9.5MW wind turbine, with a single unit capacity ranking among the top in the world, can meet the annual electricity needs of nearly 50000 households; The economic wind turbines developed for emerging markets such as Latin America and Africa have successfully entered more than 20 countries and regions with high cost-effectiveness. As of now, Far East Energy's wind turbines have been connected to the grid for power generation in over 40 countries worldwide, with overseas installed capacity exceeding 15GW, firmly ranking among the top three global wind power equipment suppliers.Against the backdrop of accelerating global "dual carbon" goals, wind power, as an important component of clean and low-carbon energy, continues to generate market demand. Far East Energy's win of a large European order this time is not only another milestone for China's wind power technology to "go global", but also highlights the important role of Chinese new energy enterprises in the global energy transformation. In the future, with the deepening of Far East Energy's layout in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and Latin America, its global map will further expand, which is expected to inject more "Chinese power" into the global green energy transformation.Editor/Bian Wenjun
