Recently, the dredging project for berths F3 to F5 in the Fengtou operating area of Hailing Bay Port in Yangjiang Port, undertaken by the Fourth Navigation Bureau, has officially started, marking the substantial construction phase of the main structure of the terminal. As one of the key projects for building a modern port cluster and strengthening the supply system of building stone resources in Guangdong Province, the promotion of this project has important strategic significance for enhancing the basic resource guarantee capability of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

The project plans to construct three specialized berths for 50000 ton mechanism sand and gravel ships, with a total length of 879 meters of supporting dock shoreline. The hydraulic structure is designed to accommodate 100000 ton bulk carriers, with an annual designed throughput of 50 million tons. The total investment of the project is about 2.5 billion yuan, and it is planned to be completed in January 2027. At present, dredging engineering, as the core pre construction process of dock construction, has been fully launched, with a total volume of about 2.1466 million cubic meters. At the same time, the construction of the steel wharf and steel platform for the North Approach Bridge has also started, with a total investment of about 63 million yuan completed so far.

In order to ensure the efficient progress of the dredging project, the project construction team carried out the overall planning of the whole process in advance, strictly implemented the construction vessel access mechanism, strengthened the on-site safety and quality supervision, and comprehensively coordinated the connection of various operation links to provide a strong guarantee for the realization of the port basin dredging goal.
