On October 20th, Dongfang Wind Power, a member of the China Electricity Council, signed a contract with China Resources New Energy (Yangjiang Yangdong) Co., Ltd. in Beijing to jointly promote the supply and implementation of wind turbine equipment for the China Resources Yangjiang Sanshan Island Sihai Wind Power Project. This project is the first landing project of a 20 MW wind turbine model in Guangdong Province. It will use 25 20 MW offshore wind turbines independently developed by Dongfang Wind Power, marking the official launch of the world's first 20 MW offshore wind turbine batch application project and opening a new chapter in the high-power and high-efficiency development of China's offshore wind power.

The 20 MW model used in this cooperation project is a 26 MW series product, with a single unit capacity covering 20 MW to 26 MW, representing China's comprehensive breakthrough in the field of high-end wind power equipment. This unit has excellent adaptability and can be flexibly configured according to different wind and sea conditions. It can effectively control initial investment and long-term operation and maintenance costs, significantly reduce electricity costs, and fully comply with the development trend of offshore wind power parity.

The unit is based on the third-generation fully integrated semi direct drive technology route independently developed by Dongfang Electric, and has excellent performance and reliability. The whole machine is composed of over 30000 components, and the supply chain is fully autonomous and controllable. The core components such as the generator, blades, bearings, and electronic control system have reached the world's advanced level in multiple technologies. This model has super strong typhoon resistance and can withstand 17 level super typhoons, suitable for medium to high wind speed sea areas.Editor/Bian Wenjun
