Chinese photovoltaic bracket company Zhongxinbo and East China Institute of Electric Power Construction have officially signed a cooperation agreement for the Saudi Arabia AFIF 4.2GW photovoltaic project. This scale not only sets a record for Zhongxinbo's largest single project globally, but also becomes a benchmark project for photovoltaic development in central Saudi Arabia.

The project is located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and includes two sub projects: AFIF1 1.8GW and AFIF2 2.4GW. To cope with the frequent occurrence of strong winds, sandstorms, and extreme high temperatures in the local area, the project will fully adopt the Zhongxinbo Tianji II tracking system and be equipped with customized solutions such as "following the slope according to the situation" and customized pile foundation design to ensure efficient and stable operation of the project throughout its entire lifecycle.

After the completion of the project, it is expected to generate approximately 9 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which can meet the clean electricity needs of about 1.5 million households, and will effectively promote the energy structure transformation of Saudi Arabia and even the Middle East region. As a key component of Saudi Arabia's' 2030 Vision ', this project will be an important support for Saudi Arabia to achieve its goal of 50% clean energy supply.

It is worth noting that since 2025, Zhongxin Bo has performed strongly in the Saudi market, with a cumulative project capacity of over 9GW, including several major projects such as SPPC R5 Sadawi 2.3GW and MAS 1.25GW. The achievement of this series of results is attributed to CITIC Bo's well-established localization layout in the Middle East region. The recently completed second phase of the Jeddah production base has increased Zhongxinbo's annual delivery capacity in the Middle East to 15GW, providing a solid guarantee for the efficient execution of subsequent projects.
