India's leading renewable energy company ReNew Energy Global Plc will invest approximately 820 billion rupees (approximately 9.33 billion US dollars) in the development of green energy projects in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. This large-scale investment plan covers multiple fields such as solar energy manufacturing, pumped storage, battery storage, and green ammonia, marking an important step forward in the development of India's green energy industry.
According to the company's statement, this investment will focus on building four core projects: a 6-gigawatt photovoltaic ingot manufacturing plant, a 2-gigawatt pumped storage facility, a factory producing 300000 tons of green ammonia annually, and a 5-gigawatt hybrid renewable energy project. The implementation of these projects will significantly enhance ReNew Energy Group's overall competitiveness in the Indian green energy market and improve its industrial chain layout.

Sumant Sinha, Chairman and CEO of the company, said, "This investment reflects our firm commitment to India's energy transition and will drive the large-scale application of renewable energy technologies. We believe that through the construction of this series of projects, not only will it create new growth points for the company, but it will also make a positive contribution to India's achievement of clean energy goals
The launch of this investment plan coincides with a critical period when India is actively promoting the construction of non fossil fuel power generation capacity. The Indian government plans to increase the installed capacity of clean energy to 500 gigawatts, and ReNew Energy Group's investment plan is highly aligned with this goal. At present, the company has operated 717 MW wind and 60 MW solar projects in Andhra Pradesh, and the new investment is expected to create over 10000 job opportunities, injecting strong momentum into the local economic development.
