Recently, the winning bidder for the renovation and expansion project of the G50 Shanghai Chongqing Expressway from Pigeon Dwen Hub to the Anhui Hubei border has been officially announced, marking that this major transportation project with an estimated budget of 11.42 billion yuan is about to enter the comprehensive construction stage. As an important part of Anhui Province's highway network planning, this project has attracted much attention since its launch. Now, the winning bid for the construction section has been settled, and multiple strong construction units have successfully won the bid, jointly undertaking the construction task of this major project.

Project Overview

The section of G50 Shanghai Chongqing Expressway from Pigeon Dwen Hub to the Anhui Hubei border is an important component of the "Hefei Jiujiang" connecting line in the "Five Vertical, Ten Horizontal, and Fifty Four Link" expressway network in Anhui Province. The project starts at the south side of Gezidun Hub and ends at the boundary of Shanghai Chongqing Expressway between Anhui and Hubei, passing Huaining County, Qianshan City, the Taihu Lake County and Susong County, with a total mileage of 109.768km. The project includes the renovation and expansion of 7 interchanges, the construction of 1 new interchange, and the simultaneous construction of supporting facilities such as service areas and parking areas.

The entire project adopts the standard of a two-way eight lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and an overall roadbed width of 42 meters. The design load level of the bridge and culvert is Highway Class I, and the technical indicators strictly follow the "Technical Standards for Highway Engineering" (JTGB01-2014). This bidding is divided into 8 construction sections, covering engineering content such as roadbed, pavement, bridges and culverts, temporary traffic protection facilities, etc. The winning bidders and amounts for each section are as follows:

Section 02: Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 631460201.5 yuan;

Lot 03: Zhejiang Jiaogong Road and Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. and Anhui Luda Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. jointly won the bid, with a bid amount of 712193900.26 yuan;

Section 04: Sichuan Chuanjiao Road and Bridge Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 560727319.67 yuan;

Section 05: CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 624942449.77 yuan;

Section 06: Guangzhou Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 767387600.00 yuan;

Section 07: China Railway 11th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 611940329.01 yuan;

Section 08: China Communications Construction First Engineering Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 760557194.83 yuan.

The project has a planned duration of 30 months and is expected to commence in October 2025, with a defect liability period of 2 years.
