Recently, POWERCHINA has made substantial breakthroughs in business expansion in South Africa. Chen Guanfu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the company, personally witnessed the formal signing of the EPC contract for POWERCHINA's 113.7 MW photovoltaic project in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa during a series of business activities in South Africa. The implementation of this major project has become the latest example of POWERCHINA's deep cultivation of the South African market and its practical efforts to promote local energy transformation and green development.

The 113.7 MW photovoltaic project in Pietermaritzburg is a concentrated demonstration of POWERCHINA's strength in the field of new energy in South Africa. As the EPC party of the project, POWERCHINA will undertake the entire chain of tasks from design, procurement to construction, ensuring the successful implementation and efficient operation of this green energy power station. After the completion of the project, it will significantly increase local power supply, alleviate energy pressure, and make positive contributions to South Africa's carbon reduction goals, vividly demonstrating the cooperative concept of consultation, co construction, and sharing.

To ensure the smooth progress of such key projects, Vice General Manager Chen Guanfu made a special visit to core partners such as the South African Department of Energy and Electricity and South African Power Company during this trip. Both sides had in-depth discussions on promoting high-quality project execution, ensuring smooth grid connection and power generation, and exploring the possibility of further expanding cooperation in the field of new energy. These high-level interactions have cleared obstacles for the smooth implementation of the project and laid a solid foundation for winning more cooperation opportunities in the future.
