On November 17, 2025, the foundation laying ceremony of Far East Energy's large megawatt intelligent wind turbine manufacturing base was held in Tianjin Future Science and Technology City, marking the official entry of this major new energy equipment manufacturing project with a total investment of 600 million yuan into the construction phase. As the first phase of the zero carbon smart industrial park planned and constructed by Yuanjing Technology Group in Ninghe District, this project will focus on the research and manufacturing of the new generation of large megawatt intelligent wind turbines, providing important equipment support for the high-quality development of China's wind power industry, and also effectively promoting the construction of a green energy system in North China.

Building an intelligent production base and creating a complete wind turbine industry chain

The project covers an area of 50 acres and will construct modern production workshops, intelligent warehousing centers, and multifunctional auxiliary buildings. It will also introduce multiple intelligent production lines, including host assembly, wheel hub manufacturing, tower bottom platform integration, and electrical pretreatment. At the same time, the project will be equipped with heavy equipment such as large cranes, hydraulic axis cranes, and gantry cranes, forming a complete manufacturing capability for wind turbine equipment. It is reported that the construction period of the production base is one and a half years, and it is expected to be fully completed and put into operation in June 2026. At that time, it will form a large-scale production capacity of 200 sets of large megawatt intelligent wind turbines per year, becoming an important wind power equipment manufacturing base in northern China.

Annual carbon reduction of 930000 tons, significantly contributing to China's carbon neutrality goal

The environmental benefits after the project is put into operation are very significant. According to estimates, after the annual production of 200 sets of large megawatt intelligent wind turbines is put into use, it is expected to replace about 350000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 930000 tons. This emission reduction scale is equivalent to planting about 4300 hectares of forests, which will make a substantial contribution to China's goal of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. The project will also drive the development and utilization of new energy in surrounding areas, promoting the optimization and upgrading of regional energy structure. Independent research and innovation, establishing a full process quality assurance system

Through independent research and development, Far East Energy has broken through the bottleneck of design and manufacturing technology for key components of large wind turbines, achieving independent and controllable core technology. The company has established a full process, multi-level quality assurance system from material testing, component testing to whole machine validation, and fleet monitoring. Through strict design specifications and process control, it ensures the high reliability and long life of the unit in complex environments. This innovative model will promote the transformation and upgrading of China's wind power industry from manufacturing to "smart manufacturing", setting a new benchmark for the industrial application of new energy equipment.
