Recently, the 650MW fishery photovoltaic complementary project planned and constructed by State Power Investment Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "State Power Investment") has been officially approved by relevant departments. As a key new energy demonstration project in the region, this project organically combines fishery aquaculture with photovoltaic power generation, achieving a three-dimensional development model of "underwater fish farming and water power generation". It not only injects strong momentum into the local clean energy industry, but also explores a new path for the coordinated promotion of ecological protection and economic development.

It is reported that the project fully combines the water resources endowment and climate conditions of the project location during the planning and design stage, adopts efficient photovoltaic modules and advanced inverter technology, and is expected to have a total investment of over 3 billion yuan, covering an area of about 12000 acres. After the completion of the project, the average annual power generation can reach 780 million kilowatt hours. Compared with traditional coal-fired power plants, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 650000 tons and emissions of pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides by about 20000 tons per year. This is of great significance for optimizing the regional energy structure and reducing carbon emission intensity. At the same time, the project will carry out characteristic aquaculture in the water area below the photovoltaic panels, which is expected to drive employment for nearly a thousand people in the surrounding area and achieve multiple benefits of "power generation+aquaculture+income increase".

The relevant person in charge of State Power Investment Corporation stated that the fishery photovoltaic complementary project is one of the important measures taken by the group to implement the "dual carbon" goal and promote energy transformation. Next, the company will accelerate the construction drawing design, equipment procurement, and construction of the project, strictly control the quality and safety of the project, and ensure that the project is put into operation as soon as possible. In addition, the group will continue to explore the integrated development model of new energy with agriculture, fisheries, ecological governance and other fields, using this project as a benchmark, and contribute more to building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system.

The approval and construction of this project have also received high attention and strong support from the local government. Local officials from the National Development and Reform Commission pointed out that the implementation of the project will effectively activate idle water resources in the region, drive the coordinated development of the new energy industry chain upstream and downstream, and provide industrial support for rural revitalization, which has a profound impact on promoting green and high-quality development of the local economy and society.Editor/Bian Wenjun
