Recently, China Water Resources and Hydropower Eighth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd.  successfully won the bid for the Dehua Pumped Storage Power Station project in Fujian Province with its profound technical accumulation, rich experience in pumped storage project construction, and full chain service capabilities, providing important support for the construction of China's new power system.

It is reported that Dehua Pumped Storage Power Station is a key project in Fujian Province's "14th Five Year Plan" for energy development. The total investment of the project exceeds 5 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts and a total of 4 sets of 300000 kilowatt reversible water turbine generators installed. The power station is located in Dehua County, Quanzhou City, and utilizes the local natural terrain conditions to construct upper and lower reservoirs. The total storage capacity is expected to reach 18 million cubic meters, with a designed annual power generation of 2.04 billion kilowatt hours and an annual pumping capacity of 2.72 billion kilowatt hours. After the completion of the project, it will undertake important tasks such as peak shaving, valley filling, frequency regulation, phase modulation, and emergency backup for the Fujian power grid, effectively enhancing the regional power grid's new energy consumption capacity, assisting in the large-scale integration of renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaics, and playing a key role in optimizing the energy structure and promoting the implementation of the "dual carbon" goal.

As a leading enterprise in the field of hydropower and pumped storage construction in China, Sinohydro Bureau 8 has multiple core technologies and mature cases in the survey, design, construction, and equipment installation of pumped storage power stations. It has participated in the construction of multiple national level pumped storage power station projects, including Qingyuan in Guangdong, Heimifeng in Hunan, and Jixi in Anhui, accumulating rich construction experience under complex geological conditions. Next, China Hydropower Eighth Engineering Bureau will establish a professional project team, strictly following the principles of "safety first, quality first, and green construction", using intelligent construction equipment and digital management systems to efficiently promote the construction of the main project, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, and supporting facilities of the power station. During the project construction process, ecological protection requirements will be implemented synchronously, low-carbon construction technology will be adopted to reduce environmental impact, and efforts will be made to build Dehua Pumped Storage Power Station into a demonstration project of "advanced technology, green low-carbon, safe and reliable".
