On December 4, 2025, Sany Heavy Industry held the delivery ceremony for the world's first batch of SDC125 double wheel milling here. Tan Bo, Chairman of Sany Northeast Africa Region, and representatives of the project contractor jointly unveiled the ceremony. At this moment, it is not only a handover of equipment, but also a dialogue about trust and strength: from the excellent performance of SDC120 in the Dubai project before, to the launch of SDC125 upgrade now, Chinese equipment is taking solid steps to root in this highland of global infrastructure.  

Chinese milling guards challenge Dubai underground

After delivery, these two SDC125 were immediately put into practical use. The first one to enter the International City Transfer Station (BB06), facing the task of forming a trench 0.8 meters wide and 35.2 meters deep, with a rock hardness of up to 47 megapascals; The second one will face a 1.5-meter-wide and 38 meter deep trench at AL WARQA station (BR08), dealing with a 30 megapascal rock formation. On the construction site, they work side by side with international brands such as Liebherr and Borgward, winning recognition in harsh geological tests with stable and efficient performance. A field engineer sighed: "In these world-class projects, Chinese equipment is no longer a 'supporting role', but a key force to solve problems."

Localization support behind the 35% proportion

Equipment strength cannot be separated from system protection. By the end of 2025, there will be over 100 Sany devices serving the Dubai Metro Blue Line, accounting for 35% of the total project equipment. Behind this is Sany's years of deep cultivation in the Middle East: from professional service teams, spare parts warehouses, to service centers and training systems, a complete localized system has been established to achieve rapid response and comprehensive support. Just as Sany adheres to the concept of "helping partners succeed", this not only allows Chinese manufacturing to enter overseas construction sites, but also makes "China service" a reliable guarantee for efficient project promotion. This delivery is the first large-scale entry of high-end equipment from China into the core construction process of Dubai Metro, and it is also another microcosm of the key role played by Chinese manufacturing in global infrastructure.
