Recently, Shandong and Anhui provinces have successively launched major water conservancy projects, injecting strong impetus into promoting regional coordinated development and ensuring water security. These projects are not only the focus of local infrastructure construction, but also an important component of the national water network layout and food security strategy.

Shandong Nansi Zhuang Reservoir officially starts construction, helping to allocate water resources in the Jiaodong Peninsula
On December 16th, the on-site promotion meeting for the construction of Nansi Zhuang Reservoir project was held in Laiyang City, Yantai, marking the substantial construction stage of the project. The reservoir is located in the middle reaches of Fushui River at the border of Laiyang City and Haiyang City. It is designed as a medium-sized reservoir with a total storage capacity of 67.68 million cubic meters and an estimated total investment of 3.102 billion yuan. The project focuses on water supply and flood control, while also considering agricultural irrigation, and is a comprehensive utilization of water conservancy facilities.
As a key water conservancy project in Shandong Province in 2025 and a key node in the province's modern water network, the completion of Nansizhuang Reservoir will effectively guarantee the water demand in the southern region of Laiyang and provide reliable water source support for the construction of the future Dingziwan New Energy Innovation Zone, further promoting regional coordinated development. Previously, the project had attracted social capital through equity financing and planned to sell 15.3% equity to raise no less than 60 million yuan, reflecting its innovative exploration in investment and financing mechanisms.
