Deepening strategic cooperation, continuous breakthroughs in the North American market

The strategic cooperation upgrade between Tianhe Energy Storage and Lightshift Energy is a further expansion based on the successful cooperation experience of both parties. In 2024, the two parties have collaborated to complete four projects in Groton, Holden, and Paxton, Massachusetts. Under the new cooperation framework, Tianhe Energy Storage will provide Lightshift with its Elementa Diamond series energy storage solutions, helping the latter leverage its unique advantages in deploying distribution grid battery energy storage system clusters in multiple regions of the United States, achieving fast and scalable delivery, improving grid reliability, and saving costs for customers.

At the same time, Trina Energy Storage Solutions US Inc, a subsidiary of Tianhe Energy Storage in the United States, has successfully signed a sales contract for 1.4GWh of energy storage products with customers in the North American region. The project will adopt the Elementa2Pro liquid cooled energy storage system, combined with the new generation PCS, to build a 4-hour independent grid connected energy storage solution, and integrate the full set of software and hardware EMS provided by local software suppliers in North America, forming a complete AC side integrated solution. The contract is scheduled to be delivered and connected to the grid by the end of 2027.

Abundant orders in hand, expected performance growth

The strong performance of Tianhe Energy Storage in overseas markets can be seen from its order situation. According to Gao Jifan, Chairman of Trina Solar, at the performance briefing in December 2025, as of the end of the third quarter of 2025, Trina Solar's overseas orders in hand had exceeded 10 GWh, and it had signed multiple GWh level large orders continuously after the third quarter alone.

In terms of target planning, the company has set an energy storage shipment target of 8-10 GWh by 2025, and expects the growth rate to exceed 50% by 2026. Behind this ambitious goal is Trina Solar's full stack research and development, production, and delivery capabilities from battery cells, DC cabins to AC side systems, as well as the establishment of a comprehensive service network worldwide, covering the entire project consulting, design, installation, and operation cycle, with significant advantages in localized service capabilities in overseas markets.

Expand application boundaries and lay out emerging fields

The development of Tianhe Energy Storage is not limited to traditional energy storage application scenarios. The company is actively exploring new business growth points, with AIDC (Artificial Intelligence Data Center) becoming a key expansion direction. At the performance exchange meeting, Trina Solar stated that the company is deeply empowering the green computing power upgrade of data centers with scenario based light storage smart energy solutions.

At present, Tianhe has jointly built the Sanjiangyuan Green Power Intelligent Computing Integration Demonstration Microgrid Project with China Unicom. As a zero carbon park demonstration project with deep collaboration of "wind solar energy storage and charging+computing power load" in China, the project has entered the comprehensive construction stage. The company believes that AIDC customers have higher requirements for the service capabilities and customized solution capabilities of energy storage product suppliers, which is highly in line with the current development path of Tianhe Energy Storage.
