The project has successfully won the bid and achieved a breakthrough of zero

On December 23, 2025, a joint venture between China Energy Engineering Yunnan Institute and Anhui Electric Power Construction Second Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group, successfully won the bid for the 150 MW wind power EPC general contracting project in Mondulkiri, Cambodia. This project is not only one of the first wind power projects planned and developed by Cambodia, but also the first wind power general contracting project obtained by China Power Engineering Yunnan Institute in the Cambodian market, marking an important breakthrough for Chinese enterprises in the field of new energy construction in Cambodia.

Leading technological strength, creating benchmark projects

The project is invested and developed by Mondulkiri Wind Power Company in Cambodia, and plans to install 24 wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.25 megawatts. The project fully utilizes China's technological accumulation and engineering experience in the field of wind power, and is expected to generate 380 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually after completion. It will save about 116000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 383000 tons annually, providing strong support for the green transformation of Cambodia's energy structure.

Creating a historical precedent to promote energy transformation

After the wind power project is put into operation, it will become Cambodia's first wind power project to be put into operation, which is of milestone significance in the country's new energy development history. As a benchmark project for diversified development of renewable energy in Cambodia, its successful implementation will not only provide clean and reliable power supply for the local area, but also help Cambodia to build a more diversified and sustainable energy system, providing a successful example for green energy cooperation in countries along the "the Belt and Road".
