Under the warm winter sun in Hanoi, a heavyweight cooperation agreement was signed, closely linking Hunan, China with Laizhou, Vietnam. Hunan Yunjian Group Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Tuojiang 11 Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement for the electromechanical general contracting project of Nam Ma 1A hydropower station in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. This is not only the crystallization of deepening cooperation between the two sides in the energy field, but also the 24th milestone established by Hunan Yunjian Group in the Vietnamese market.

As a backbone enterprise in China's hydropower equipment manufacturing field, Hunan Yunjian Group has already set its sights on overseas. Southeast Asia is rich in water resources and the demand for electricity is growing rapidly, making it a key region for expanding its international market. Over the years, from equipment exports to engineering general contracting, from single projects to series development, the group has firmly rooted itself in Vietnam with its excellent technical strength, reliable engineering quality, and full lifecycle services, winning the reputation of being a "trustworthy partner".

Green electricity, lighting up mountainous areas

The Nam Ma 1A hydropower station is located in the mountains of Laizhou Province in northwestern Vietnam. The project will be equipped with two axial flow water turbine generators with a single capacity of 8.3 megawatts, with a total installed capacity of 16.6 megawatts. This type of unit is very suitable for local hydrological conditions due to its ability to adapt to low to medium head and high flow rates. After the completion of the power station, the annual average power generation will be considerable, and it will be directly transmitted to the Vietnamese State Grid, effectively ensuring the industrial and residential electricity consumption in Laizhou Province and surrounding areas. It is of great significance to promote local economic and social development and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Deeply cultivating Vietnam and radiating to the Indochinese Peninsula

This signing is the 24th electromechanical general contracting project undertaken by Hunan Yunjian Group in Vietnam. From the initial exploratory entry of the project to the current 24 power stations scattered across major river basins in Vietnam, this number represents a solid step for China's high-end equipment manufacturing to "go global". The successful operation of each project is a showcase of technology and standards, strengthening the Vietnamese market's recognition of Chinese hydropower technology and engineering quality. This not only consolidates the group's leading position in the Vietnamese market, but also lays a solid foundation for further exploring the markets of countries in the Indochina Peninsula such as Laos and Cambodia, forming a good regional radiation effect.

Co construction and win-win, writing a new chapter of cooperation

The successful signing of the project is a vivid manifestation of the continuous connection between the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and Vietnam's "two corridors and one circle" plan. It goes beyond simple commercial cooperation and integrates into the macro cooperation framework between China and Vietnam in areas such as infrastructure connectivity, energy security, and joint response to climate change. China helps Vietnam develop and utilize clean energy, optimize its energy structure, and achieve sustainable development by sharing advanced hydropower development technology and engineering management experience. This model of mutual benefit and win-win results is a true reflection of the spirit of "the Belt and Road" to jointly discuss, build and share, and has contributed to the substantive energy ties for building a closer China ASEAN community of shared future. With the ink of the agreement settled, the horn of construction will soon ring along the banks of the Nanma River. The project team of Hunan Yunjian Group has started preliminary preparations. They will bring Chinese technology, standards, and wisdom to work hand in hand with Vietnamese partners to build another "green power station" symbolizing friendship and development among the beautiful mountains and rivers of Laizhou.Editor/Yang Meiling
