On December 29, 2025, a major livelihood water conservancy project in Jindong Management District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province - the newly built Daganchong Reservoir project officially laid the foundation and started construction in Shiguyuan Village, Shiguyuan Township. This comprehensive water conservancy project with a total investment of 98.07 million yuan and a total storage capacity of 1.57 million cubic meters marks a solid step forward in optimizing water resource allocation and consolidating the foundation of rural revitalization in the local area.

The Daganchong Reservoir project is positioned as a key infrastructure that integrates irrigation, water supply, and flood control functions. According to the plan, after the project is completed, it will systematically solve the problem of ensuring irrigation water sources for 11900 acres of farmland in Shiguyuan Irrigation District, significantly improving the stability and risk resistance of agricultural production. At the same time, the reservoir will serve as a core water source, providing stable and safe drinking water for 11400 residents in Shiguyuan Township, completely improving the drinking water conditions of the local population.
