On January 5, 2026, Shanghai Haixi Industrial Communications Co., Ltd. and Pengcheng Infinity, a new energy storage enterprise, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides finalized a cooperation scale of up to 60GWh for energy storage system products. The corresponding amount is about 3.06 billion yuan based on the industry's winning unit price, setting a record for energy storage orders in the beginning of the year, which is known as the "Rocket class" order in the energy storage industry.

The energy storage industry is experiencing explosive growth

The cooperation volume of 60GWh this time is equivalent to 3.8 times the cumulative signing volume of 16GWh by Pengcheng Unlimited in 2025, and 7.5 times its annual shipment volume of nearly 8GWh in 2024, highlighting the explosive growth of energy storage demand in the market.

Pengcheng Unlimited was founded in November 2023. Although it has not been established for a long time, it has grown into the first energy storage battery manufacturer in China to obtain both Ningde Times technology authorization and after-sales service authorization. It has successfully developed multiple models of high-capacity energy storage dedicated batteries such as 280Ah, 314Ah, 587Ah, etc. Some products have IP55 protection level and C5 corrosion resistance, and can adapt to complex application scenarios such as high altitude and extreme environments.

Haixi Communication is an enterprise established in 2001 and listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange in 2021. It has been deeply involved in the industrial wireless remote control industry for many years. After entering the energy storage field in 2023, it quickly achieved breakthroughs and has covered all fields such as large-scale storage, industrial and commercial storage, and household storage. In 2024, the energy storage business revenue reached 278 million yuan, and in 2025, it won a 402 million yuan energy storage system procurement contract. In terms of production capacity layout, Pengcheng Unlimited has established a 15GWh battery cell production base in Xining, Qinghai, and has successively finalized two major production bases in Yibin, Sichuan and Feicheng, Shandong in 2025, with a total planned production capacity of 54GWh, both focusing on 500Ah+new generation high-capacity batteries. It is expected to be put into operation in 2026. With the gradual landing of these bases, their total production capacity is expected to exceed 69GWh in the fourth quarter of 2026, providing solid capacity guarantee for various cooperation, including this 60GWh order.
