The bidding results for the feasibility study stage survey, design, and related thematic preparation services of the highly anticipated Pinglu Irrigation District project have been officially announced, and Guangxi Water Resources and Electric Power Survey and Design Research Institute has successfully won the bid. This marks a crucial step forward in the preliminary work of a major water conservancy project with a total estimated investment of 6.908 billion yuan. As an important comprehensive utilization project of the Pinglu Canal, it will provide valuable water resources for over one million acres of farmland and villages along the canal, injecting new vitality into regional agricultural development.

Over 6.9 billion investment benefiting four counties and districts
The Pinglu Irrigation Area Project has been included in multiple national and autonomous region level important plans, and is a large-scale water conservancy project with the goal of intensive and economical utilization of water resources. The project covers four counties and districts in Qinzhou City, including Qinnan District, Qinbei District, Lingshan County, and Pubei County. The total designed irrigation area of the project is 1.034 million mu, including 232000 mu of improved irrigation area and 628000 mu of newly added or restored irrigation area. The project is classified as Grade II and belongs to a large-scale irrigation area.
Building a modern and efficient water supply network
The engineering construction content is systematic and extensive, aiming to build a modern and efficient water supply network. This mainly includes the construction of 7 backbone water source pump stations, 4 reservoir regulation pump stations, and 6 water pipeline lifting and pressurization pump stations. In terms of water transmission system, 9 backbone water transmission trunk lines with a total length of 187.79 kilometers will be constructed, 81 branch lines with a total length of 267.10 kilometers will be built, and 9 existing channels with a total length of 61.41 kilometers will be continued and renovated.
