Tao Qing, a member of the Xinjiang European American Alumni Association and Secretary of the Party Branch of the Excellent Engineering College of Xinjiang University, has been deeply involved in the fields of rehabilitation and robotics for many years. He keenly pointed out that although the vast Gobi Desert in Xinjiang is a densely populated area for power and oil and gas pipelines, it is also a "pain point" for manual inspections. In his opinion, utilizing pipeline robots and drones for collaborative operations is a smart solution to solve high-risk and difficult inspection problems, and Xinjiang has unique advantages in developing the special robot industry.

He is committed to playing the role of a "talent pool for studying abroad and serving the country", actively building platforms to attract more overseas returnees to settle in the border areas. He hopes to combine international cutting-edge technology with the actual needs of Xinjiang, inject "returnee wisdom" into local industrial upgrading, and make smart robots a new engine driving high-quality economic development in Xinjiang.Editor/Cheng Liting
