In 2025, Alashankou will once again break the historical record with a total of 8165 trains per year and an average of over 22 trains per day for the China Europe (Central Asia) freight train, witnessing the vigorous pulse of the Eurasian Continental Bridge with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.3%. It is amazing that this border pass with a population of only more than 10000 registered residence has undertaken nearly 40% of the China Europe regular trains across the country, and has become a golden hub connecting China, Germany, Poland and other 21 countries.

Time and space intertwine here: more than two thousand years ago, Zhang Qian chiseled through the air, and the sound of camel bells echoed through the sandstorms; Nowadays, the roaring "Steel Camel Team" relay here, continuing the epic of commerce along the northern route of the ancient Silk Road. From the historical barrier to today's open highland, Alashankou is not only the bridgehead of Xinjiang's opening up, but also a vivid footnote of China's deep interconnection with Central Asia and Europe under the "the Belt and Road" initiative.Editor/Cheng Liting
