On the screen in Urumqi, a "Digital Silk Road" connecting China and the Eurasian continent has officially been connected.
On January 13, 2026, the online platform of China Eurasia Investment and Trade Promotion Center held a launch ceremony in Urumqi. This is not only the launch of a website, but also a digital leap for Xinjiang as a gateway to opening up to the west. As stated by Wang Hong, General Manager of Xinjiang Eurasia Investment and Trade Promotion Center Co., Ltd., the platform is committed to becoming the "gateway" for Chinese enterprises to "go westward" and the "new window" for showcasing the achievements of opening up to the outside world.
Unlike traditional information display, this platform is more like an intelligent butler, precisely targeting the pain points of cross-border business operations for enterprises. Centered around the two-way demand of "going global" and "bringing in", the platform has dismantled core modules such as "digital trade" and "smart ports", and moved cumbersome processes such as qualification processing, resource docking, customs clearance and logistics online.
From 'running errands' to' fingertips'
This is a revolution about efficiency. In response to the most headache inducing overseas landing problem for enterprises, the platform has launched the "Overseas Map". The park resources in Central Asian countries are no longer just words on paper, but visualized three-dimensional scenes. Enterprises can easily examine the investment environment with just a few clicks, significantly reducing decision-making costs.

More groundbreaking is the coverage of consular authentication services. The certification process that originally required commuting from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan has now been digitized. On the logistics side, the "New Smart Port" train system makes the status of goods transparent - from booking, tracking to settlement, the full process of digital management makes "difficult booking and tracking" a thing of the past. At present, this network has covered five Central Asian countries and major sites in Europe, and the flow of real-time data is even faster than a wheel.
From 'single point' to 'network'
The confidence of online platforms comes from a solid offline layout. Since its landing in Urumqi in April 2025 and unveiling of the comprehensive service hall in August, the center has quickly completed the physical space allocation. Nowadays, with the establishment of overseas branches in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, a physical network with headquarters domestically and tentacles overseas has taken shape. As of now, the center has served over 350 domestic and foreign enterprises. When online data flow intersects with offline logistics and commercial flow, China's economic and trade exchanges with Asian and European countries are evolving from simple physical connections to higher dimensional digital integration.Editor/Cheng Liting
