On February 22nd, Ambassador Yao Wen paid a visit to Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Rahman to exchange in-depth views on China Bangladesh relations and other issues of common concern.

Ambassador Yao welcomes the smooth and orderly holding of the Meng general election and congratulates La on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Yao stated that as a traditional friendly neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner of Bangladesh, China attaches great importance to developing China Bangladesh relations, supports the smooth governance of the new government led by Prime Minister Tariq, supports Bangladesh in maintaining national unity, stability, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, appreciates Bangladesh's implementation of the "Bangladesh First" policy, and looks forward to carrying out comprehensive cooperation with the new government of Bangladesh to jointly write a new chapter in bilateral relations.
