On February 11, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore held a New Year reception titled "Qiji galloping across the four seas in spring". Ambassador Cao Zhongming and his wife, former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Wang Ruijie and his wife, Attorney General Huang Lusheng, Ambassador Chen Qingzhu of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ASEAN ambassadors and friends from all walks of life in Singapore, representatives of Chinese funded institutions and enterprises in Singapore, and overseas students gathered together to celebrate the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse.

In his speech, Ambassador Cao vividly expounded the beautiful implication of the Year of Horse and the cultural charm of the Spring Festival, and sent New Year greetings to the guests. He said that in the past year, the CPC led the Chinese people to face difficulties and forge ahead, promote national development to achieve new major achievements, and achieve the successful conclusion of the "14th Five Year Plan". China and Singapore seize the opportunity of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, maintain close high-level exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and effectively enhance people to people exchanges. 2026 is the starting year of China's 15th Five Year Plan. China will continue to anchor the goal of comprehensively building a socialist modernized strong country, solidly promote high-quality development, hold high the glorious banner of a community with a shared future for mankind, and firmly uphold international fairness and justice. China is willing to work with Singapore to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and promote the sustained and in-depth development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Cao fully affirmed the unique contributions made by Chinese funded institutions, enterprises, students, media reporters, and others in various fields of exchanges, cooperation, and friendly exchanges between the two countries. He encouraged everyone to continue to contribute to the friendship between China and Singapore, and stated that the embassy will continue to adhere to the principle of diplomacy for the people and serve everyone wholeheartedly.  

The robot lion dances to welcome guests, and the robot from Yushu Technology presents the dance "God of Wealth Arrives", endowing traditional festivals with wisdom and a sense of the future. The children of embassy diplomats sang "Up to Spring Mountain" in a childish voice, showcasing the vigorous vitality of a great country. Yunnan Vocational College of Culture and Arts and Yunnan Golden Bird Silver Bird Art Troupe presented a face changing performance,

dance "Ode to Spring", acrobatics "Ballet on the Shoulder - Flying Dunhuang", and dance "Golden Horse Offering Auspicious Congratulations on the New Year", showcasing the profound and elegant charm of the Spring Festival through traditional Chinese art and culture.
