On February 23rd, Ambassador Yao Wen paid a visit to the newly appointed Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tariq, to exchange in-depth views on China Bangladesh relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Ambassador Yao Wen congratulated Tajikistan on his appointment as Prime Minister and congratulated Bangladesh on the successful holding of the 13th parliamentary elections.   China supports the smooth governance of the new government of Bangladesh, supports Bangladesh in maintaining national unity, stability, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, opposes foreign interference, and plays a greater role in international and regional affairs.

Ta thanks Ambassador Yao for coming to congratulate and convey the good wishes of Chinese leaders. He stated that he will firmly adhere to the One China principle, inherit the tradition of friendship with China, and is willing to continue to work hard and deepen cooperation with China to elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Bangladesh to a new height.Editor/Yang Meiling
