Nanning, as an important node city in the core coverage area of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, has a key departure port for the Pinglu Canal and is at the forefront of China's open cooperation with ASEAN. Wei Tao first arrived at the site of the second phase of the Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone project to understand the business cultivation and customs clearance logistics situation in the area since its closure and operation in September 2025.

He demanded that Nanning fully leverage its policy and location advantages, innovate the operation and management mode of the park, focus on key links in the cross-border industrial chain and channel economy to carry out precise investment promotion, and promote the upgrading of bonded business and processing trade. At present, Nanning City is coordinating the development and construction of two ports and one district at a high level, with a focus on promoting 53 ongoing projects in 2026 and an annual planned investment of 5.449 billion yuan.

The construction of the Railway Port Seven Success Zone has started

Nanning International Railway Port is one of the core projects for Nanning to build a land port type national logistics hub, and 7 out of the 10 planned functional areas have already started construction. After more than two years of construction, the concrete and steel structures of the main project of the terminal have been completed and are currently entering the stage of decoration and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
