Recently, Power China has signed a contract with Kairos Renewables, officially finalizing the EPC contract for the Guimbal 200 MW onshore wind power project in the Philippines. The total investment of the project reaches 13.31 billion Philippine pesos, equivalent to about 1.66 billion yuan, which is another landmark cooperation for Chinese enterprises to enter the clean energy field in Southeast Asia.

The wind power project spans four regions in Iloilo Province, namely Jimbar, Igbala, Tubangan, and Tigao, with a planned total installed capacity of 200 megawatts, equivalent to a cost of approximately 8300 yuan per kilowatt. It is planned to be constructed in two phases, with each phase being 100 megawatts. At present, the core cooperation procedures have been completed, and it is expected to start construction preparation and engineering construction in the third quarter of 2026. Subsequently, the implementation and production will be steadily promoted to continuously deliver clean and stable power resources to the Philippines.
Kailos Renewable Energy was established in 2013 and is a new energy enterprise in the A-round financing stage. The project is fully developed by its subsidiary Jimbar Wind Energy Company. Aaron Dennis, the chairman of the company, pointed out that this signing marks the official transition of the project from the preliminary preparation stage to the engineering construction stage. PowerChina, with its mature global project delivery capabilities, will ensure the completion of projects with efficient and rigorous standards, and help accelerate the development of the renewable energy industry in the Philippines.
