On August 28, 2026, the main transformer of the 220 kV booster station of Datang Huayin Guidongpuluo Wind Farm, which was constructed by the 12th Bureau of Hydropower, was successfully powered on once. The equipment of the entire station operated smoothly and the parameters met the standards. The project officially entered the sprint stage of grid connected power generation, laying a solid support for the development of regional clean energy.

Key projects empower energy upgrading

The Guidongpuluo Wind Farm is a key new energy project in Hunan Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period, and is an important lever for optimizing the energy structure and promoting green transformation in the region. The total installed capacity of the project is 100 megawatts, equipped with 20 single 5-megawatt wind turbines and a supporting 220 kV substation. The booster station is the core hub for wind power collection and transmission, and its construction quality directly determines the effectiveness of project operation. After the project is put into operation, it will improve the layout of wind power in the province, enhance the power supply capacity of new energy, and help promote the development of local green industries.

Overcoming difficulties and creating high-quality projects

The project is located in a high mountain area with complex terrain and variable weather. The effective construction window is short, and the transportation of mountain materials and equipment installation are difficult. The construction conditions are extremely harsh. Since the start of construction, the project department has adhered to the concept of high-quality engineering, integrating quality control throughout the entire process of equipment selection, installation, and commissioning, scientifically optimizing construction plans and schedule nodes, strictly grasping safety and quality control, and ensuring project quality through lean management. All construction personnel have overcome difficulties, carried out meticulous construction, and completed various construction tasks with high standards.

During the electrical installation and commissioning phase, the project department strictly followed the elevation standard construction process, efficiently promoted various operations, and completed all electrical construction and commissioning work in just 2 months. The project actively collaborates with the owner and the operation and maintenance unit, arranges professional personnel to enter the site in advance for on-site supervision, strictly controls the quality of key processes, and achieves seamless connection between engineering construction and production preparation.

Accurately preparing for accelerated grid connection and production

To ensure the one-time success of the power supply work, the project department has prepared a special power supply plan and emergency response plan in advance, and jointly conducted multiple rounds of coordination and full process simulation exercises with the owner and supervision unit to refine the operation process, identify safety hazards, and ensure that the operation is standardized and controllable. The power receiving process was smooth, the equipment operated stably, and all technical parameters exceeded the design standards, successfully achieving the power receiving goal. At present, the project construction is steadily advancing. 19 wind turbine foundations have been poured, the 10th wind turbine has been lifted in an orderly manner, and the first buried power collection line has been fully connected. After the project is fully connected to the grid, the annual power generation can reach 198 million kilowatt hours, saving about 57500 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 156400 tons per year.
