Uzbekneftegaz Co., Ltd. has signed a cooperation contract with China Petroleum Western Drilling Engineering Co., Ltd. Both parties will carry out drilling operations for 30 exploration wells in the Ustyurt area, with a project implementation period of 2026-2028.

According to the agreement, China will participate in this project cooperation based on its mature experience and excellent engineering technical strength accumulated in the drilling field. This cooperation will also help Ukraine achieve its core development goals of improving production efficiency and expanding exploration scope. According to the contract agreement, both parties plan to drill exploration wells with a depth of 5500 to 6000 meters in key blocks with development potential in the area. The main task is to explore oil and gas resources reserves in high-temperature and high-pressure special reservoir environments. During the cooperation period, advanced and applicable technologies will also be introduced, international experience exchange and reference will be carried out, and the implementation and application of advanced construction standards in the industry will be promoted. The advancement of this project is of great significance for Uzbekistan to improve its geological exploration level and consolidate its reserves of oil and gas industry resources.Editor/Gong Ziwei
